Yuletide Marimba Performance - judson isd

When someone mentions the word marimba around Judson ISD folks, it’s likely the first thing they think is Coronado Village Elementary School and Bonnie Anderson.  For good reason, she has built a reputation of musical excellence with her student marimba group.  They have played all over the district and a number of occasions around the state…and soon out of state. This group of talented students will soon be traveling to New York to play Carnegie Hall! To help pay for the trip’s expenses, the Coronado Village Elementary School Marimbas recently hosted a special performance at Judson Early College Academy called the “MojoRimba Extravaganza.”  It included numbers performed by kinder through 3rd grade students who played their marimbas as well as sang Christmas songs to a great audience.  4th and 5th grade students also kept the instruments hot with some great tunes of their own.  It was a spirited concert with some terrific motivation for the students, family and friends.
