Honoring Military Child Month

Honoring The Military Child

April is the Month of the Military Child (MOMC) and Purple Up for Military Kids Day is every April 15th.  Each year, we honor those children and families in our Go Public community for their strength and sacrifices.

MOMC in Our Schools

Relocated military students must often embrace new communities, cultures, and education models while making new friends. Because of their struggles, schools across the country come together to celebrate military children!

Local Purple Up USA Events

Go Public Intern Kevin Hernandez attended two events celebrating military children. He brought bubbles and Go Public swag bags to events at San Antonio Botanical Gardens and Hemisfair Park!

Kevin loved meeting parents and answering questions about Go Public resources at the Purple Up USA events. “The kids had the best time and I really enjoyed seeing all the happy faces blowing bubbles,” said Kevin, “I got to connect with many great families!”
