Brazosport ISD Rocketry Students Earn Scholarships

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Brazosport ISD SystemsGo Rocketry program is helping students earn scholarships while preparing students for successful career paths in engineering.  The program promotes the development of workforce skills, and it encourages students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mechanics.

One rocketry student, Eddie Flores, researched, presented, and developed manufacturing processes for advanced carbon fiber composite fins that can stand up to high-velocity flight and create large weight-savings for the vehicle.  Eddie’s work secured him a $3,000 scholarship from the SystemsGo Rocketry Program to use for college where he plans to major in mechanical engineering.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”5787″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”5785″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
