The program promotes the development of workforce skills, and it encourages students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mechanics.
One rocketry student, Eddie Flores, researched, presented, and developed manufacturing processes for advanced carbon fiber composite fins that can stand up to high-velocity flight and create large weight-savings for the vehicle.
