Huffman ISD Impresses With Visual Art

Huffman ISD visual arts programs inspire students to create works of art to be displayed around the community.


Scholastic Art & Writing is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. 




AVRIL DASKALOS, Hargrave HS Senior and Art student received a Silver Key award for her sculpture titled “Fungus.” She represented Hargrave HS at the Regional Awards Event in Houston, Texas. With more than 11,000 submissions from the Houston Regional area, she took home a Silver Key for top 7% of submissions.

These beautiful artworks will soon be displayed in and around the Huffman ISD community. 

Local restaurants like a donut shop, cafe, and Mexican restaurant will display these talented students’ art.
