At Judson ISD‘s Veterans Memorial High School, inclusion is a top priority. Thanks to Principal Greg Brauer, Veterans Memorial is now a Special Olympics Unified Champion School- a program for schools to promote the social inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities.

The Unified Champion School Model promotes the acceptance of all students through everyday school activities like art, sports, and student leadership. This program breaks down barriers by allowing students with disabilities to participate in activities with all of their peers. Now students of all abilities can socialize, learn, and grow together, fostering greater community and diversity at school.
Congrats to Veterans Memorial High School for taking a bold step towards greater inclusion for all!
