Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD has teamed up with STEMKAMP, an educational STEM program funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, for a weeklong, hands-on learning experience. Students at SCUC ISD had fun with the theme “Buggin’ Out,” by exploring the science and engineering behind various insects.
These students had the opportunity to observe a wide range of animals at the San Antonio Zoo and put their new knowledge to work by creating “worms” using polymer threads. STEMKAMP provides learning opportunities for all grade levels, aimed to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
