Slidell ISD first-grade students became zoologists for a week and explored the world of animal habitats! Students had the opportunity to discover new animals and choose their favorite one to research. Through this hands-on project, Slidell Elementary students were tasked with building and presenting a poster board as well as a 3D diorama of their chosen animal’s habitat.
Throughout the project, students were challenged to gather valuable information and learn more about their animal and its habitat. After compiling all useful content for their posters, these explorers got creative, arranging them with vibrant pictures and relevant animal facts. Most impressively, their 3D dioramas showcased each student’s unique animal habitat, giving us a look inside their world.
After all their hard work, students presented their projects to family and friends, practicing their presentation skills to wrap things up. Slidell ISD students’ hard work truly brought the animal kingdom to life!
