Cheerleading is a huge part of San Antonio-area school districts’ talented athletics programs! Two San Antonio schools were awarded first place trophies at the UIL State Cheerleading Competition. The cheerleaders at Clemens High School in the Schertz Cibolo Universal City School District are the best in the state for 6A DII, and the Alamo Heights High School cheer squad from Alamo Heights ISD dominated 5A DII. Other San Antonio-area schools that placed in the top 5 of their divisions are Medina Valley High School in Medina Valley ISD (5th place 5A DII) and Johnson High School in North East ISD (3rd place 6A DI).
