First graders at Ott ES investigated artifacts from the past in the library’s “Invention Museum.” To prepare for their visit, students studied Thomas Edison and his contributions. At the library, the students were guided through various inventions such as a 1930’s rotary phone, a 1901 Underwood typewriter, and a 1950’s television. Previously only seen in photographs, the items brought history to life for the students.
