Northern Hills Elementary School teachers sent their summer school students personal messages. The proud educators wrote and mailed ‘brag cards’ to highlight their students’ hard work and dedication during distance learning. 

Summer school principal Iris Escandon said teachers use these gestures to stay connected with their students. “The goal of our initiative was to have students know how much their teachers recognize their efforts during distance learning,” said Escandon. “We wanted our students and families to know that their hard work and persistence haven’t gone unnoticed.”

North East ISD teachers and administrators are committed to their mission to continue to nurture relationships with their students.  The distance between them seems smaller when educators reach out to make a connection.
