Girls on the Run at Hobby Middle School embraces the differences on our campus through a nurturing, inspiring and physical activity-based youth development program for middle school girls.  The program empowers our girls to: advocate for themselves in a meaningful and effective manner; lead with positive decision making skills; and express their gratitude for others through well thought out words and actions. Girls on the Run is a cultural transformation program that seeks to bring out a young girl’s genuine spirit and build upon their values in an effort to promote our leaders for tomorrow.  The girl-centered approach provides an environment where the girls get to know each other better in order to build community within their school.  The program is transforming, compassionate, and empowering. Girls on the Run was featured as one of November’s Cool Schools on KSAT’s SA Live.
