This special assignment is a fun tradition now at SISD. It is a district-wide competition during “Freedom” week and “Constitution” week. Each student is asked to draw an image that captures the meaning of freedom, independence and patriotism for our country, state, city, or school. The district winner this year is 3rd grader Luzelena Saucedo, from Pearce Primary. This image will be the official 2018 Southside ISD Fiesta medal. Fiesta medals will be on sale in the spring.
