Edgewood ISD provides an exceptional learning experience that engages, empowers, and prepares students to compete and reach their highest potential in an ever-changing world.

Highlights

Edgewood ISD offers:
– All-day Prekindergarten and Head Start Classes
– Brentwood STEAM School of Innovation (Middle School)
– Gardendale Early Learning Program (Partnership with Pre-K4SA)
– Early College High Schools at both John F. Kennedy High School and Memorial High School.
– Special Education program for 18 – 21-year-olds at the Burleson Center for Innovation and Education.
Mr. John Leos at the Las Palmas Leadership School for Girls won the Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Award in October.
Our Fine Arts Academy student, KC Cerda, won Best Documentary Film for “Beauty Blending In.”
Edgewood Fine Arts Academy News theater arts students- Congratulations to our National Finalist! Several students have qualified for the International Thespian Festival on June 20-24 in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Office of Marketing & Communications won the following awards at the 2020 TSPRA Star Awards: Gold in Website Template Driven Design; Gold in Special Event; 2 Golds in Video Training/Instructional; Gold in Feature Story; Silver in Annual Report; Silver in Print Materials in Language other than English; Bronze in Live Sports Event.
We are currently offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for teachers and a $1,500 stipend for bilingual teachers.

New Member District Information

Our San Antonio-area Independent School Districts serve 340,238 students. Our school zones are broken up into ISDs (school districts).

The districts cover Bexar, the Hill Country, Comal, and Wilson counties.

Principals, teachers, counselors, nurses, and maintenance are a few of the roles working together to create an environment that is safe and supportive. Academics and extracurricular clubs provide opportunities to all students with varying interests and skill levels.
