Alvin ISD

Committed to excellence for each student and every program

Mission

Alvin ISD is a dynamic learning organization committed to excellence for each student and every program. We believe students achieve their maximum potential when provided engaging learning opportunities. We believe parents expect excellence in educational experiences that will make each child’s goals become achievable. We believe teachers create a safe and engaging learning environment that fosters the success of each student. We believe campus leaders establish a climate where everyone matters by creating a culture of pride and ownership in their schools. We believe the central office provides the foundation to equip staff with resources in a supportive environment so that each student has the opportunity to thrive. We believe the Board of Trustees engages the community to create an environment where excellence is prioritized to ensure each student reaches his or her maximum potential.

Highlights

Alvin ISD is a district that is driven by a vision of excellence for each student and every program. We continue to make strides as we work to ensure this vision is the reality, not only for our students, but for the entire community. Consisting of over 29,000 students, Alvin ISD encompasses 252 square miles. Alvin ISD is proud of its diverse student and teacher population. With 33 campuses and one more slated to open in the Fall of 2023, Alvin ISD prides itself on preparing all students for success in college, career and community leadership. Alvin ISD is focused on meeting the unique instructional needs and interests of every student. In large part, this is accomplished by offering a wide range of extra and co-curricular programs and activities. Alvin ISD is proud of the Career and Technical Education Center, the JB Hensler College and Career Academy. The JB Hensler College and Career Academy offers many career pathways and currently offers certification preparation for 36 unique certifications in high-skill, high-demand career fields. The accomplishments of our District would not be possible without the continued support and active partnership with the families and community we serve.
