The Friendswood Independent School District was established in 1948 and covers 15 square miles. Fully accredited by the Texas Agency, the district’s curriculum emphasizes academic skills, authentic learning experiences and building relationships.
FISD has six campuses: one PreK-2, one K-3, two 3-5 intermediate campuses, one 6-8 junior high and one 9-12 high school.

The districts cover Bexar, the Hill Country, Comal, and Wilson counties.
