Kerrville ISD student Dixon Schneider, a fourth-grader from Tally Elementary School, received special art recognition from the Texas Elementary Art Meet (TEAM).
The Texas Elementary Art Meet (TEAM) focuses on awarding elementary school students who go above and beyond to create art pieces that show exemplary artistic skills. For Dixon, his watercolor entry entitled ‘Albatross’ received an exemplary rating and was also chosen as a “Top of the TEAM”, which means that it was voted as one of the top 10% entries in the state.

Dixon’s elementary art teacher, Kenna Bush, describes how she couldn’t be any more proud of Dixon’s accomplishment. She shared her excitement by mentioning how she is looking forward to working with other students and striving for their personal growth, just as Dixon did through his achievement.
Dixon’s recognized watercolor art piece featured an albatross soaring over bright clear water against a blue sky with clouds. What an amazing accomplishment to achieve! From being part of the “Top of TEAM” to having an exemplary rating.
