Forney ISD has once again earned the prestigious Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation, marking its 11th straight year receiving this honor—a testament to the district’s unwavering commitment to accessible, high-quality music programs that inspire students at every level.
The Best Communities for Music Education honor is now in its 26th year. 861 school districts across the U.S. were recognized, including 91 in Texas and 26 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This honor recognizes school districts that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in ensuring all students have access to the arts.
Additionally, the honor comes from the NAMM Foundation, a partner organization of NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) that represents the generosity and philanthropy of the music products industry. The foundation supports innovative music-making programs and advocacy efforts. Furthermore, it also provides scholarships and training materials to keep music education strong in communities everywhere.
This ongoing recognition reflects Forney ISD’s deep commitment to the arts and student enrichment. With strong support from educators, families, and the community, students continue to thrive through a wide variety of musical opportunities. From elementary music classes to advanced ensembles, the district empowers learners to explore their talents, build confidence, and connect through creative expression.
