Lamar CISD Receives Generous Donations

Pre K

Lamar CISD students from Tamarron Elementary in Ms.Thompkins’s Pre-K class now get to enjoy playful learning thanks to a donation from LEAF.

Thanks to this donation, Ms.Thompkins was able to introduce sensory bins that will allow her students to learn in engaging ways. In these bins were things like rice, kinetic sand, and water beads.

These sensory bins provide the students with the opportunity to develop fine motor skills and thinking skills. Tools like these are also important because they highlight the importance that play-based learning has in early childhood development.

Thanks to the LEAF donations, the students are provided more support to thrive from the very beginning of their educational journey!
