Earlier this spring, the Denton Ryan Raiders girls basketball team etched their names into the record books by accomplishing something no other girls team in Denton ISD history has done before, winning a state championship. The Lady Raiders rose above the competition and brought home the coveted state title.
Last night, the team celebrated the culmination of their journey, receiving their long-awaited state championship rings. Each ring is more than just hardware, it’s a symbol of teamwork, perseverance, and the bond that carried them to the top.
Congratulations to all the incredible and invaluable student-athletes and coaches. The Lady Raiders have not only set a new standard for excellence in Denton ISD but have also inspired a generation of young athletes to believe in what’s possible. The future is bright for girls basketball in Denton, thanks to this remarkable team.
