Spring Branch ISD‘s Autism Awareness Night was held at Hunters Creek Elementary, bringing together families from throughout the district for an evening focused on connection, support, and celebration. The event provided families with an opportunity to honor the unique qualities of students with autism through activities that allowed them to spend quality time together.
Some of the highlights were sensory lab activities and themed photo booths, and even obstacle courses. These activities promoted both sensory exploration and active play for students and their families. The setup allowed students to explore at their own pace while providing others with a better understanding of different sensory needs.
In addition to the hands-on activities, local small groups and businesses worked at the booths. Each group contributed to the positive energy of the night by showing their support and encouragement.
Overall, the evening provided families with a meaningful way to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the special abilities of each student. Spring Branch ISD demonstrated its dedication to inclusive support for all students through this event.
