Wilemon STEAM Academy in Waxahachie ISD hosted their very own book signing event by Brownie Books and O’Brien’s Bookshop! Young authors like Luke Trout, Hudson Gonzales, and Jett Martinez had a wonderful crowd come out to buy their books and get them personally signed. You can purchase a copy of “Beginner’s Luck” by Hudson Gonzales and Luke Trout or “The Curious Case of Jerry Bobber” by Jett Martinez at O’Brien’s Bookshop or Amazon.
Brownie Books provides parents, educators, and school administrators the chance to enrich the educational experience for their young learners. Their mission is to enrich children’s lives with bilingual and bicultural literature. They share the joy of creating captivating stories by facilitating inspiring author visits and shows. Further, Brownie Books empowers young authors through their Publishing Contest that uplifts young creatives like Trout, Gonzales, and Martinez.
Wilemon STEAM Academy is a Kindergarten through fifth-grade lottery elementary school. It is the third school in the nation to have all teachers National Institute of STEM Education Certified, as well as hold the National Institute of STEM Education Campus Certification. Students are empowered to embrace a growth mindset through critical thinking and creativity to positively impact their environment.
