Waxahachie ISD Students Explore, Create, and Learn at GT Camp

Waxahachie ISD’s GT Camp started the week with a blend of science and movement. Waxahachie GT Students kicked it off by designing balloon-powered cars and racing them across the floor. After testing their engineering skills, they went to a skating rink to explore motion and balance in a hands-on way.

To continue the week, campers took a trip to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, where they explored habitats and observed different animals from bats to tigers. It was a fun and engaging way to connect what they learn in the classroom to real-world experiences. They wrapped up the week by visiting the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. The students rotated through dino digs, interactive innovation labs, and finished with a full-dome show in the Omni Theater that brought science to life in a big way.

Throughout the week, students were challenged to think critically, try new things, and stay curious. GT Camp gave them the space to explore, create, and grow while having a great time.
