Katy ISD hosted the 2025 Leadership Katy cohort on a tour of the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Under the direction of Principal Rick Hull and Katy ISD executives, the team visited STEM, agriculture, and health science classrooms.

The chief academic officer at Katy ISD, Dr. Christine Caskey, emphasized the value of practical skills for students’ future employment. Learning about the district’s agricultural education initiatives and their connections to Katy’s agricultural past, the cohort also paid a visit to the Gerald D. Young Agricultural Sciences Center.

The Katy Area Chamber’s president, Matthew Ferraro, commended the Leadership Katy program for giving local business executives insightful knowledge of the area’s educational system. The goal is to promote change and improvement in Katy’s community and workforce.
