Kerrville ISD’s students at Tivy High School have access to engaging, practical learning opportunities in environmental science and healthcare. Students in the Environmental Systems course participated in the Clean Water Challenge, where they investigated wastewater treatment procedures and created devices to clean “refuse” water.

In the meantime, in a cutting-edge simulated lab, Health Science students are refining their clinical abilities by performing procedures like accessing peripheral veins. By bridging the gap between classroom instruction and practical application, these immersive experiences help students become more competent and confident for future employment in healthcare.

By making learning interesting and useful, Tivy High continues to motivate students and set them up for success in the environmental science and medical sectors.
