Lake Travis ISD brought career exploration to life through the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Roadshow, welcoming eighth-grade students across Bee Cave Middle School, Hudson Bend Middle School, and Lake Travis Middle School. The CTE Roadshow encouraged students to take a hands-on look at the wide range of future careers made possible through CTE courses and industry certifications.
Led by Lake Travis High School teachers and student ambassadors, the roadshow introduced students to the district’s 11 CTE career clusters as they engaged with interactive booths and collected stamps in their “Passport to Success.” High school students were encouraged to share their firsthand experiences and helpful advice to help their younger peers better understand how these programs can set them up for long-term success as they transition into high school.
Through initiatives like the CTE Roadshow, Lake Travis ISD empowers students to explore more diverse career paths that extend far beyond the traditional classroom setting!
