San Benito CISD CTE students in the Medical Assisting class have been learning to master essential skills such as capillary punctures, venipunctures, and urinalysis.

The Medical Assisting certification is part of the Health Science Career Cluster. The program of study focuses on occupational and educational opportunities associated with diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illness independently or as part of a healthcare team. It includes exploration of patient treatment and rehabilitative programs that help build or restore daily living skills to persons with disabilities.

These hands-on experiences help our future healthcare professionals build the expertise needed to thrive in the field.
