

Waxahachie ISD 4H Welding team excelled at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, earning all blue ribbons and securing 2nd place in the Class of 1955 and Older Tractor Restoration Contest at the Agriculture Mechanics Show. The team showcased their skills at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Jr. Agriculture Mechanics Show. They brought 6 projects fabricated by Waxahachie FFA members and are proud to report that all 6 projects were awarded blue ribbons after their presentations!


The Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems program explores career and educational opportunities in engineering technology and biological science. It focuses on solving agricultural problems related to power and machinery, electrification, structures, soil and water use, and product processing. Students learn to diagnose, repair, and overhaul farm equipment including tractors, harvesters, dairy equipment, and irrigation systems.
