Dripping Springs ISD is celebrating a prestigious achievement as four high school students claimed the state title in Group Design at the 2025 UIL 6A Theatrical Design competition.

Leela Bertram, Adrian Fisher, Hannah Salazar, and Elise Turner earned this recognition for their collaborative project, making this the first-ever Group Design championship for Dripping Springs High School, and the school’s second state title in Theatrical Design.

Their project, themed “Axoloris: The Musical,” stood out as one of only six statewide entries rated ‘exemplary’ and selected for presentation.
Each team creatively interpreted an artist or art movement and translated it into a design using innovative technology.

Bertram and Fisher also earned individual honors, ranking among the top five in the Set Design category. Bertram secured her second consecutive fourth place finish, while Fisher followed closely in fifth.
Molly Gretzinger, another talented student from Dripping Springs, also made her mark by qualifying in Hair & Makeup Design, adding to the district’s impressive performance at the UIL event.

This contest is part of a series of statewide competitions that the University Interscholastic League (UIL) organizes to oversee educational extracurricular activities—including academic, athletic, and music contests—for Texas public schools.
