Plano ISD’s Andrews Elementary was filled with energy and creativity as second graders participated in an interactive rhythm session led by Mr. David from Rhythm Path. Thanks to the support of the Andrews Elementary PTA, Ms. Riordan, and a grant from the Texas Commission for the Arts, students experienced the joy of music through drumming.

As part of Rhythm Path’s Day of Drumming program, each student played an authentic West African djembe drum, working together to create rhythms and discover that “Drumming is easy! If you can say it, you can play it!” This immersive experience fostered teamwork, coordination, and a deeper appreciation for music.
