Gainesville ISD High School Robotics team placed 14th out of 33 teams at the Iowa Park REC VEX VR5 Robotics High Stakes competition. This event is part of the global VEX V5 Robotics Competition, the largest and fastest-growing middle school and high school robotics program globally, with over 20,000 teams from 50 countries. It challenges students to build and compete with innovative robots. The competition features an annual engineering challenge that tests students’ design, coding, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

The all-ladies high school team—Caitlynn Perkins, Lyndsie Tan-To, Kennedy Neu, and Atzin Ruiz—made it to the finals, quickly adapting strategies and troubleshooting technical issues. Meanwhile, the junior high team, consisting of Chisam Weir, Molly Pyle, Kinsley Nance, Kayden Woods, and Isabel Bentley, finished 27th but also advanced to the finals, showcasing teamwork and problem-solving skills.

These students have been preparing all year, demonstrating their commitment and passion for robotics. Gainesville ISD is proud of their dedication and success!
