Melissa ISD students explored STEM/STEAM concepts through a variety of exciting activities, from engineering custom paper creations to real-world science experiments.
At Lakeview Elementary, second graders put their geometry skills to the test using the campus’s newest design tool, the Chompsaw. These lucky Lakeview students got an exciting first look at the machine, combining mathematical concepts with their own artistic expression.
Over at North Creek Elementary, another group of second graders investigated earth science through handcrafted soil models. Students watched as their landscapes gradually broke down while down as they recreated rushing water and strong winds, mimicking the natural process of erosion.
Melissa ISD’s creative classroom experiences continue to spark curiosity in students all across the district, inspiring our future innovators and problem-solvers!
