In the Richardson ISD’s Northwood Hills Think Tank, first graders transformed Valentine’s Day treats into a chemistry lesson by testing candy acidity with universal pH indicators. This hands-on experiment helped students make real-world connections between science and everyday experiences.

The Think Tank serves as an active learning laboratory, where students from kindergarten through sixth grade engage in hands-on math activities and science experiments. With a focus on critical thinking and discovery, this innovative space fosters a deeper love for learning in #RISDInTheClassroom!
