Fort Bend ISD Teacher Wins H-E-B Excellence Award

At Fort Bend ISD, Dr. Alicia Dawn Adkins, an 11th-grade history teacher at Kempner High School, received an award from H-E-B Excellence in Education. The H-E-B team arrived with a $1,000 check and the news that she was a finalist for the H-E-B’s Leadership Award for secondary teachers.

The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are designed to honor outstanding public school professionals and to thank them for their dedication and commitment. Kempner High School also received $1,000 in honor of her recognition.

Several of the district’s leadership team members and Kempner Principal Dr. Danielle Jackson were all present to applaud and congratulate Adkins.
