Little Elm ISD Celebrates Spelling Bee Winners

Little Elm ISD students rose to the challenge at their district spelling bee, with four students advancing to the regional competition!

During the English Spelling Bee, third grader Kiara Roy Banerjee and fifth grader Ethan Doan from Hackberry Elementary competed through an incredible 25-round competition. Kiara secured the championship with the correct spelling of “albeit” and “feudalism,” while Ethan earned runner-up honors. Soon after, Hackberry fifth grader Andrea Escamilla claimed the Spanish Spelling Bee championship with the winning words “cerrojo” and “izquierdo,” followed by Oak Point fifth grader Melanie Suarez as the runner-up.

Little Elm ISD is proud to know that every student gave it their all from the first round to the final word, with dozens of participants in each round. Congratulations to all of these incredible spellers as they take their talents to the regional stage!
