Huffman ISD recently sent two outstanding students, Mattilyn Wagener and Zach Casas, to the Area III Leadership Conference hosted by Future Farmers of America.

FFA is a vibrant youth organization dedicated to transforming lives through its leadership programs, equipping members with essential skills, fostering personal growth, and preparing them for successful careers in agricultural education. Participants like Mattilyn and Zach benefit greatly from hands-on experiences that develop their potential and help them discover their talents, paving the way for real-world achievement.

At the conference, Mattilyn Wagener demonstrated exceptional leadership skills by leading a workshop titled “Stretching for Success,” facilitating discussions for the Member Retention committee, and chairing the business session. Meanwhile, Zach Casas and his district officer team actively engaged in FFA leadership development activities to prepare for their upcoming service year. Zach served as secretary of the Area Needs committee and earned the prestigious A3 Spirit Award for his exemplary leadership.
