Brazosport ISD High School Career & Technical Education (CTE) students recently teamed up with the Dow Texas Operations team at Voranol for a hands-on welding project, connecting classroom learning with real-world applications.
Working alongside CTE Specialist Darin Humes, students fabricated 25 custom metal stands for warehouse aisle signage at the Voranol plant. The project provided students with hands-on, real-world experience using materials supplied by Dow’s Planners and ACGK team. The collaboration provided students with valuable industry experience, resulting in high-quality craftsmanship that supports plant operations and strengthens community partnerships.
This project highlights the power of education and industry, creating meaningful learning opportunities for Brazosport ISD students.
