The districts cover Bexar, the Hill Country, Comal, and Wilson counties.

Leadership

Dr. Anjanette Murry

Dr. Murry first joined the district in 2010 as the middle school principal. She is completing her 28th year in public education and over the years, served in the role of substitute teacher, teacher’s aide, classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent serving the district in many areas, including Curriculum and Instruction.

“Being selected as superintendent has been a career-long goal. It is the greatest honor of my career to serve Crandall ISD Students, Staff, and Community,‚Äù said Dr. Murry. ‚ÄúCISD has been my home for the last thirteen years, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve our pirates and continue moving us in a positive direction. ”

Dr. Murry and her husband are deeply involved in the community. With an unwavering dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, they have actively participated in various community events, supporting local businesses and engaging with residents.

On a personal level, her family shares a special connection with the district, as their own children are part of the student body. Their oldest child recently graduated in 2022, and her youngest daughter graduated in 2024, which further deepens their understanding and investment in the educational journey of the Crandall Pirates. This firsthand experience as parents have given them valuable insights into the unique needs and aspirations of the students, motivating them to continuously strive for excellence and create a nurturing environment for all.
