We continue to make strides as we work to ensure this vision is the reality, not only for our students, but for the entire community. Consisting of over 29,000 students, Alvin ISD encompasses 252 square miles. Alvin ISD is proud of its diverse student and teacher population. With 33 campuses and one more slated to open in the Fall of 2023, Alvin ISD prides itself on preparing all students for success in college, career and community leadership. Alvin ISD is focused on meeting the unique instructional needs and interests of every student. In large part, this is accomplished by offering a wide range of extra and co-curricular programs and activities. Alvin ISD is proud of the Career and Technical Education Center, the JB Hensler College and Career Academy. The JB Hensler College and Career Academy offers many career pathways and currently offers certification preparation for 36 unique certifications in high-skill, high-demand career fields.
