New Member District Information

Our San Antonio-area Independent School Districts serve 340,238 students. Our school zones are broken up into ISDs (school districts).

The districts cover Bexar, the Hill Country, Comal, and Wilson counties.

Principals, teachers, counselors, nurses, and maintenance are a few of the roles working together to create an environment that is safe and supportive. Academics and extracurricular clubs provide opportunities to all students with varying interests and skill levels.

Richard Cooper

Mr. Richard Cooper has served Wills Point ISD since February 2023 as Superintendent of Schools. Prior to coming to Wills Point, Mr. Cooper was Superintendent of Schools at Corrigan-Camden ISD, which received a TEA Academic Rating of “A” for the 21-22 School Year. He is in his 29th year in Public Education.

Mr. Cooper received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Development and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. He is a 1991 graduate of Henderson High School. He started his career as a School Bus Driver and served as an Agriculture Teacher and FFA sponsor. and has served as Superintendent in Kennard ISD and Garrison ISD. He is also a former High School Principal.

Mr. Cooper is married to Mendi, an Academic Coach at Wills Point ISD. They have a 13 year old son named Bryson.
