Royal ISD‘s Royal Elementary School threw a parade in celebration of Mardi Gras!
The students decorated their umbrellas to parade around the school and show their beautiful creations off.
Mardi Gras is a giant celebration typically celebrated on Fat Tuesday. Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday. This celebration is traditionally celebrated to “fatten up” in preparation for the “leaner season” of Lent where many give something up. Mardi Gras is a giant celebration and one of the biggest known Mardi Gras parades is in New Orleans, Louisiana. This celebration has giant intricate floats that throw out beads to attendees.
