Cleveland ISD CHS Cheerleaders competed in Cheer America’s Cheer Bowl in February 2024 at the Moody Gardens Convention Center. CHS left the venue as the 1st Place National Champions of the 2024 Cheer Bowl for their Game Day Routine in the Varsity Co-Ed Division!
These outstanding seniors were also honored for their dedication and leadership. Congratulations to Makenzee Calfee, Alexis Ochoa Cortes, Jordan Macedo, Edith Miranda, Kenya Garcia, and Kale Wood for this incredible victory!
Additionally, the competition featured a variety of divisions, each showcasing unique aspects of cheerleading prowess. Teams demonstrated their skills in Crowd Leading, where the focus was on engaging the crowd with effective material, Performance divisions, highlighting visual elements and skill showcase, and Game Day divisions, emphasizing traditional elements like Band Chants, Game Day Cheers, and Fight Songs. In the Spirit Rally division, CHS cheerleaders had the option to showcase their collaboration with dancers, mascots, and band members, demonstrating the holistic spirit of their school’s game day experience.
